Hi All,

Thought I'd ask this question since I need some guidance.

My mother has been diagnosed with Cadasil after a few strokes (65). I'm in my 30's and got symptoms of it already but haven't been diagnosed yet.

I'm living abroad in Taiwan so hence these questions.

Question 1:

Is there a way to do a genetic test in Asia (outside Taiwan for reasons below) or preferably be able to do it be posting blood or other genetic samples to another country (cheaper that way).

Question 2:

Local insurance companies would discriminate against me if they knew I have a pre existing condition and wouldn't insure me. If I do the test here, they would have medical records (which they can access) that show I have the condition.

Does anyone have any experience with something like this? Any insurance experiences welcome.

Keep up the fight.
